Congratulations on Your New WeedFreeGarden

These Are the Items You Need to Grow Tons of Food in Your New Garden – Pick Them Up Cheap

NOTE: the Assembly Videos are Further Down This Page

Nutrient Solution

This is a must have. These are the main nutrients that the plants eat in the water in the Grow Boxes. Approximately 25 pounds is 10 years worth for the 96 model. However, I recommend buying in bulk and saving money. Plus, having this nutrient solution on hand allows you to garden when there are problems with the supply chains.

This is the powdered solution: https://amzn.to/3iDpanW

Super Nutrition for You and Your Plants

Since our families are eating the plants that we grow in the WeedFreeGardens, it is possible to boost the nutrients, minerals, vitamins to a very high degree. Higher than any of the fruits and veggies at the grocery store. This is not manditory, but if we are growing, why not make the very best tasting veggies and highest quality mineralized plants around?

(Remember, whatever you put into the WeedFreeGarden Grow Boxes are available directly to the plant roots. ALL the nutrients that are put in the growboxes go to the plant roots and nowhere else. None wasted.)

Full Spectrum 92+ Sea Solid Minerals That are 100% Dissolvable in Water

We used to use a variety of rock dusts to acheive mineralization of our plants. NO MORE.

Now we just use ONE teaspoon per gallon of full spectrum sea solids containing 92+ minerals in dissolved state in water in the growboxes. That is way more minerals than any rock dust can provide. And it fully dissolves in the water allowing ALL THE PLANT ROOTS to take up the minerals to mineralize the plants. We used to grow plants with just the fertilizer above. Now, we would never grow ANYTHING without these 92+ minerals. (Even the front lawn and the hanging baskets on the front porch.)

Get Them Here: https://buying.thrivecart.com/wfg-sea-solids-fertilizer/

Net Cups

These are NEEDED to hold the plant roots if you are growing medium sized plants in the NEW 96 Model. They allow for the ability to lift the plant out of the Grow Boxes and put it back easily. Net Cups are mandatory, but they don’t cost much. They last forever and are re-useable. Net Cups are extremely helpful. I use them. The Net Cups fit into the New 96 Model.

  • Get Your Netcups at These 3rd Party Sources. (We Have Checked That These Netcups Fit Nicely in the 96 Model Growboxes)

Heavy Duty Ground Mat

This is an (OPTIONAL) add-on product for the WeedFreeGarden 96 Model.

The Heavy Duty Ground Mat is needed IF you are growing on some rough soil with weed problems. IF that is the case, then this product was made for you.

Plant Holders

The very best plant holders for plants is dirt or a dirt-like substance that transports water easily. The solution to getting rid of pool noodles and black cloning collars is to use Coco-Coir in the netcups directly.

Coco-Coir is a dirt-like substance made from brown coconut husks. It attracts water naturally and holds it. If you REALLY want to, you can mix coco-coir + potting soil and put that into your netcups. We haven't found that was needed much. But, if you wanted to, you could do it.

You can get any type of coco-coir that you like. It is typically: 4-5 grams per netcup X 96 netcups = 384-480grams per full load of the WeedFreeGarden. Coco-coir comes in pucks or bricks. Bricks seem to be cheaper most of the time.

Seeds can be started in Coco-Coir. More mature seedlings can be transplanted in Coco-coir, just like you would normal potting soil. Just add water to watch the Coco-coir plump up and expand.

--------------------------------------------

(NOTE: Pool Noodles ARE NO LONGER NEEDED WITH THE NEW 96 MODEL. Although they can still be useful in SOME situations.)

These hold the plant upright. There are 2 types. These plant holders will fit into the direct holes of the Grow Boxes. However, I put these plant holders into Net Cups (see below)

  • Pool Noodles – These are the cheapest. Less than $0.07/ pool noodle. They will have to be cut using scissors or a kitchen knife on a bread board. Also, the pool noodles will last about 2-3 plantings. Then they will be destroyed.
    • Best place to buy Pool Noodles is The Dollar Store in your local area. $1 per big noodle.
    • Or on Amazon.com

-------------------------------------------

NEVER USE Cloning Collars – These cost more too. We ran a test in the Spring of 2023 that showed directly that the industry standard cloning collars (Neoprene) gives plants stem rot and will stunt their growth.

See the test here: //weedfreegarden.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Cloning-Collar-Test.pdf

Coco-Coir in the netcups

CAN Use Pool Noodles (if needed)

Never Use the Industry Standard Cloning Collars

35% Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide

This solution helps to keep down any slime, mold, fungi, algae in the Grow Boxes. I put in 3-5 dropper-fill squirts into each 5 gallon bucket of water. The plants like the Oxygen in the water too. It encourages plant growth via oxygenation of the roots.

  • The standard 2% “brown bottle” H2O2 in the supermarket will work too. You’ll just have to add more to your Growboxes.
  • BUT, I really like to show cool stuff that I have used. Thus, the 35% Food Grade H2O2 can be used for SOOO MUCH MORE. See the book, “Flood Your Body with Oxygen” by Ed McCabe

Save Gardening Time by Automating the Nutrient Feeding of Your Plants

NEW PRODUCT

What would happen if you have already automated the watering of your WeedFreeGarden (built-in)...AND you then automated the nutrient feeding of your plants, as well?

You could go on vacation for weeks and not have to have someone else manage your garden.

The plants would grow themselves.

All that is left to do is to "check" to make sure the growing systems are working properly. And adjust, if they are not. Easy growing.

AND if you could grow food that easily...how much would you grow?

What would you do with all that super nutrient dense food?

Special Note: When the input costs of time and effort decrease, the relative value (profit) of your crop increases. And THAT will be very important in the coming years.

This Innovative New Product is just the start. We are just warming up.

These high-tech features exist. Now let's implement them and gain the benefits.

Self-Watering Sprouting System

*NEW PRODUCT*

This patent-pending world class seed sprouting system is designed specifically for 2" Netcups to lower the entire workload of sprouting seeds.

With most seed sprouting systems in potting soil, the problem arises when it is time to transplant the little seedlings into the Netcups. The roots get exposed when moving from the potting soil to the cloning collar/pool noodle. This process was not optimal.

Now it is.

- We wanted a seed sprouting system made for 2" Netcups. So that the SAME NETCUPS used for sprouting can simply be inserted into the WeedFreeGarden directly. Lowering the workload of transplanting. Easy

-We wanted it modular to fit on a window sil. OR grouped together and interlocked with each other to save even more space, on a shelf.

We wanted enough Netcups to fill the whole WeedFreeGarden 96 Model in one run.

- We wanted Self-Watering so that it would create a lower workload in maintaining the sprouts.

- We wanted a more automated system for sprouting seeds. Something that we could just "check the water levels" and walk away.

Get Yours Here - Only $99.95
With Free Continental USA Shipping

https://buying.thrivecart.com/wfg-sprouting-system/

Note: Coco-coir and Netcups (Sold Separately - and we show you where the cheapest sources are in this Customer Resources Area)

COOL IDEA: Because this system uses 2-5 seeds per Netcup, this means most of the time, multiple plants will grow per netcup. This ensures, you get at least one plant per netcup in the final garden. At the time of transplanting to the main WeedFreeGarden, just snip the smaller plants, and keep the one or two biggest plants per Netcup. Simple. (OR you can just leave them all to grow. That is up to you.)

Seeds

Store-bought plants can be used. However, a more self-sufficient approach is to sprout all your seeds and then move them into the Grow Boxes. I use sprouted seeds, then I know the plants are hardy. However, if you are a current gardener and if you have your own seeds and know how to sprout, then these materials to sprout seeds won’t be needed for you. However, if you are new, then these materials will be needed.

  • Seeds – Buy seeds of any plants you would like that will fit in the Grow Boxes. Remember, to choose your plants wisely. (Like: Don’t try to put root crops in Grow Boxes meant for above ground growing.) (Root crop grow boxes coming soon)
  • Choice of Plants - For people new to the 96 Model hydroponic growing system, start with greens. When you have successfully grown greens (which are the easiest) then move on to medium sized plants. We want to give you a good experience with growing. Most all the problems of growing are KNOWN and overcomable. (heat, shade, water, nutrients, bugs, and especially choice of plant sizes). The NEW 96 Model was specifically designed for small to medium sized plants, veggies, and fruit. (The Large plant model is coming soon.) So, choose greens first, if you are new. THEN branch off into cool stuff. Understand?

    • Organic, non-terminator seeds – These are seeds that will also grow new seeds that can be spouted again. Most seeds at Walmart are terminator seeds and will not grow new seeds. Be alert to that.

City Water with High Chlorine and Fluoride Problems

If you live in a city that has high levels of Chlorine and Fluoride, that may also be a problem for your plants.

Most of these types of halogen chemicals off-gas in about 20 minutes. So, for low levels, they aren't a problem.

BUT, if you suspect that it is a problem in your city, and that city water is coming through your hose, that Chlorine and Fluoride will kill the good bacteria in the plant root zone.

This is a problem that would happen no matter what type of garden you grew.

THIS also may be why you may have had a garden that didn't do well in the past. If the (oxygen loving) aerobic bacteria in the root zone is killed off, this leaves space for the anaerobic bacteria to get a foot hold and to multiply. Thus, stunting the plant growth.

The solution is to simply filter out the Chlorine and Fluoride from the hose water with inexpensive filters.

This is the one we use and recommend. It is inexpensive and does the job...even on Fluoride which is sometimes hard to filter.
